I have a TC40D with a 758 backhoe. Using it to build a new house. I've pulled some boulders out that weighed over a ton. Dug water, power and sewer line for 1500' in extremely rocky and steep terrain. I am really happy with it. ....

Jeff,I read about that incident the other day.I spoke with the dealers head mechanic who advised having never seen that. He assured me that the units(33D & 758C) were engineered to work together. Not to say it couldn't happen as did the author of that post. But i've been digging up my county for the past couple of weeks with no complaints(thus far). Granted, it doesn't do what my Cat420 backhoe does. But, I didn't buy this combo to compete with it.I hope that NH warranties that persons unit regardless of the age because it seems as if that was a casting flaw or something. CHARLIE: Glad to hear your unit(s) as working good together. I had great difficulties not buying that 40D. Awesome loader. I went for the smaller unit due to having a full size backhoe. Otherwise, that is an impressive compromise between large and small. ....
